Nathan Bekke, Casper, Wyoming

Nathan Bekke has led the Casper Star-Tribune as publisher since 2003. He began his newspaper career in the advertising department at the Billings Gazette in 1988 and over a nine-year period was promoted to several positions in the circulation department, including sales manager and country zone manager. In 1997, Bekke was chosen to lead the circulation department at the Independent Record in Helena, returning a year later to Billings, where he took the top spot in the circulation department. In 2002, Bekke became director of sales and marketing for the Gazette. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the Casper Area Economic Development Alliance, Casper Area Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Natrona County and the Natrona County Child Development Center. Bekke is a member of the Rotary Club; serves on the Methamphetamine Elimination Oversight Committee and has been involved with several other charitable, community and statewide organizations.
