Ted Ladd, Wilson, Wyoming

Ted and Laura Ladd are co-owners of Hewitt Ladd Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in marketing and technology strategies for small businesses. Upon his arrival in Wyoming in 1979, Mr. Ladd spent 13 seasons in northwest Wyoming working for various ranches, the U.S. Forest Service, and the state's Game and Fish Grizzly Bear team. His corporate experience includes consulting to the U.S. Air Force's centers for technology transfer and four years at Palm Inc. (the makers of the PalmPilot), where he was a consumer marketing manager and company spokesman.

Mr. Ladd holds a BA from Cornell University; an MA in economics from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University; and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. He teaches business seminars at Central Wyoming College and several high schools within Teton County. In 2002, he founded and raised funds for a semi-annual Business Plan Competition which encourages local youth to seek entrepreneurial careers within Wyoming.
