Wyoming Energy Summit

Stakeholders in Wyoming’s vital energy industry will meet in Gillette May 7-8 to look at the future of the state’s changing energy outlook and to seek solutions.

Jonathan Weisgall, vice president for legislative and regulatory affairs for Berkshire Hathaway Energy, parent company of PacifiCorp and Rocky Mountain Power, will keynote the conference. Included on day one are an option tour of the Integrated Test Center and an opening reception and dinner.

Other speakers and presenters include Landon Stropko, chairman of the energy and environment practice group at Invariant Government Affairs in Washington, D.C. A Thermopolos native, he graduated from the University of Wyoming and previously served as a policy staffer for Sen. Mike Enzi (R-WY) and Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY).

A panel of state legislators will look at the future of Wyoming energy policy, and speakers from the University of Wyoming will discuss topics of energy diversity and strategies for overcoming differences over energy development. Also included will be a robust discussion on the future of wind energy in Wyoming.

The conference is produced by the Wyoming Business Report and APG-Signature Events, a division of Adams Publishing Group, owner of four Wyoming daily newspapers and the WBR.
