WSHS Preserve Wyoming Conference Travel Stipend
The Wyoming State Historical Society’s (WSHS) Preserve Wyoming Conference Travel Stipend is now available. Through a partnership with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), the WSHS is providing a stipend to attend the 2012 Preserve Wyoming Conference in Pinedale, May 18-19, 2012.
This stipend was developed to assist Wyoming residents in attending the annual Preserve Wyoming Conference. Monies generated from the Silent Auction at the Conference Awards Banquet generate funds for the stipend. Students, WSHS members, local preservationists, and anyone with an interest in historic preservation is encouraged to apply.
The Preserve Wyoming Conference Travel Stipend is a reimbursement process. Recipients will pay their costs up-front and will be reimbursed on the last day of the conference by the WSHS Executive Secretary. The stipend is to be used for hotel and food costs, in addition to conference registration. The application process for the stipend is competitive. An itemized list of anticipated expenses is required for the application process. Application forms and rules of stipend use can be found on the WSHS website at http://www.wyshs.org/, or at SHPO’s website at http://wyoshpo.state.wy.us/.
Applications are due to Linda Fabian, WSHS Executive Secretary, by Sunday, April 1, 2012. The WSHS Historic Preservation Committee will make final selections and notify all applicants of the outcome by May 1, 2012. The number of recipients per year is contingent on available funds and number of applications.
