Wyoming Business Council
The Accounting & Compliance Office processes the vendor payments and cash deposits of the Wyoming Business Council as well as prepares its budgets, financial reports and forecasts. Accounting & Compliance also coordinates the annual financial audit of the Business Council.
The Communications Division guides the development of media relations, communications, public relations and interactive marketing for the Wyoming Business Council. The Communications Division strives to increase the public awareness of the programs of the Wyoming Business Council and its partners locally, regionally and nationally.
The Agribusiness division assists farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses to develop and expand domestic and international markets; add value to existing livestock and crops; and provides agribusiness development assistance and leadership development opportunities.
Business and Industry
The Business and Industry Division strives to create new and better job opportunities in Wyoming by encouraging new business start-ups, strengthening retention and expansion programs to help existing Wyoming companies, and targeting and recruiting businesses to Wyoming. This division works with local organizations such as economic development groups, chambers of commerce and local government to help build the foundation for economic development.
Investment Ready Communities
The Investment Ready Communities division helps communities build infrastructure needed for economic development and provides community development resources so Wyoming towns, cities and counties may become “investment ready.” Wyoming Main Street promotes and manages the revitalization of historic downtown commercial districts.
State Energy Office
The Wyoming Business Council administers the State Energy Office funded through the U.S. Department of Energy. The office works to expand opportunities for alternative or renewable energy use in Wyoming by promoting energy efficiency, energy conservation and the use of clean energy. These programs are evaluated annually. Public and private entities, including industries, have become more energy efficient through the State Energy Office.
