Statewide hay and forage producer meeting scheduled

CASPER - A meeting of hay and forage producers, industry professionals and other individuals related to the field has will be held at 10 a.m. on April 13 in the Ag Resource and Learning Center at 2011 Fairgrounds Road in Casper.

The meeting is open to all producers interested in improving the future activity and direction of Wyoming’s hay and forage industry.

For the past several years, the “Wyoming Hay and Forage Advisory Committee,” a group of producers and agriculture professionals, have been working together on several aspects of the hay industry to try and improve the promotion efforts and overall market of Wyoming's high quality hay, according to Scott Keith, Wyoming Business Council Livestock & Forage Marketing Program Manager. The group has focused on the Hay and Forage Expo, State Fair Hay Show and the development of a statewide producer organization.
