Business Council to hold meeting on April 12 on how Goshen County businesses can apply for economic disaster loans

TORRINGTON – The Wyoming Business Council will hold a meeting on April 12 to discuss the loan application process for those Goshen County businesses hurt from the illegal sale of their beans.

The meeting will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday, April 12 at the Goshen County Fairground in Torrington. Ben Avery, the Loan Portfolio Manager for the Wyoming Business Council, will review the Challenge Loan Program and hand out application packets at the meeting.

The Business Council’s Board of Directors designated Goshen County as an economic disaster area on March 24. Goshen County businesses were hurt after the owner of Mountain State Commodities, a bean warehouse business located in Torrington, illegally converted proceeds from the sale of beans. All Goshen County bean growers directly impacted from this event are encouraged to attend.

Under the Challenge Loan Program, an approved declaration allows businesses in the designated area to apply for direct loans from the Wyoming Business Council in the amount of their actual dollar loss.

The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming. For more information, please visit the Web site at www.wyomingbusiness.org.
