Wyoming Business Council to attend Bixpo 2005

CHEYENNE – Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani will headline this year’s Bixpo 2005, which will be held at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado Sept. 14-15.

This business expo is available to business leaders and public in Northern Colorado, as well as Wyoming. Admission is free to the exhibit hall for those who pre-register via phone or Web site, or $5 at the door.

The Wyoming Business Council will offer a marketing presence at the event with a booth staffed by the Business Council, while WBC Chief Operating Officer Bob Jensen and Jonathan Benson, the head of the University of Wyoming’s Technology Business Center will participate in a roundtable discussion on Thursday.

There is a $250 fee to hear either Trump (Sept. 14) or Giuliani (Sept. 15). Tickets may be ordered by going to the Bixpo’s Web site at www.bixpo.com.

In addition to Trump and Giuliani, Debbi Fields (founder of Mrs. Field’s Cookies), Anne Rhodes (VP of JetBlue and People Ink) and Seth Godin (VP of Yahoo.com) will also speak.
This will be the first of what the Northern Colorado Business Journal hopes will be an annual event and organizers are hoping for a two-day attendance of between 8,000-12,000.

Carol Stearns, Manager of the Business Council’s Business and Industry Development Division said the Bixpo will offer “business-to-business” opportunities between business operators and vendors offering everything from health insurance to graphic design to office supplies.

The Business Council will be in Loveland as will representatives from the University of Wyoming, The state of Wyoming’s Workforce Services division, Cheyenne LEADS, the Rawlins Economic Development Corporation, Laramie Economic Development Corporation, and CAEDA of Casper.

Over 200 exhibitors will be at Bixpo, and Stearns says the Business Council will attempt to expose business owners to Wyoming’s business environment, as well as introduce the Front Range to the Wyoming Tech Incubator.

The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming. For more information, please visit the Web site at www.wyomingbusiness.org.
