CAPTEL selects Thermopolis for western regional headquarters

CHEYENNE – Phil Smith, President & CEO of CAPTEL, announced today that Thermopolis has been selected as the location of the company’s third office and western regional headquarters.

“Our decision to expand our business in Thermopolis and Hot Springs County was based on the high quality of the area’s workforce and strong commitment of the community’s civic and business leaders to attract businesses like ours,” Smith said.

This is a solid company with a good reputation,” said Lorraine Quarberg, Thermopolis-Hot Springs County’s Economic Development Corporation’s Executive Director. “CAPTEL will be an asset to our community and Wyoming. We are looking forward to a long-term partnership with CAPTEL ensuring their timely and smooth expansion in Thermopolis and helping to maintain their stability and longevity.”

CAPTEL conducted preliminary interviews with prospective employees in August to determine the level of interest among the Thermopolis work force. “We received an excellent response and met many well-qualified candidates during our preliminary interviews of prospective employees,” stated Smith.

“Thermopolis didn’t let the fact they are a smaller town intimidate them,” Wyoming Business Council Chief Operation Officer Bob Jensen said. “They showed the size of a town does not dictate professionalism or curb appeal.”

CAPTEL management will meet with Thermopolis officials later this week to finalize selection of its new office location and develop plans for staff recruitment and training. Over the next 18 months the company plans to hire at least 20 employees to represent its national association and political clients. “The Thermopolis office will provide CAPTEL with a new platform for increasing our capacity to support the growth of our national clients,” noted Amy Biederman, CAPTEL’s Vice President of Client Development.

Founded in 1997, CAPTEL provides telephone and direct mail fundraising and development services for the nation's top national business, medical and professional associations and some of America's leading public policy and political organizations. The company is headquartered in Washington, DC and maintains a satellite office in Baltimore, Maryland.

Executives from CAPTEL's Washington office will return to Thermopolis on October 3 and 4 to conduct formal interviews with prospective employees from the Thermopolis area.
To schedule an interview during those dates, please call Ms. Moreau at 1-800-246-9963. CAPTEL is an equal opportunity employer.
