Venture West to host marketing plan workshop and entrepreneur dinner
LARAMIE – Venture West will host a day of entrepreneur events including a marketing plan workshop and entrepreneur dinner on October 26 in Laramie.
Venture West will host the “On Your Market, Set, GO!” workshop from 2-5 p.m. at the Wyoming Technology Business Center on 1968 Harney St. in Laramie. The class will give attendees the basic constructs into creating a simple plan for marketing. The University of Wyoming College of Business and Wyoming Business Council will sponsor college students during the workshop, making the workshop free for students. For non-students, the class will cost $20 for members, $30 for non-members. Call 307-742-6707 to receive the complimentary registration.
The workshop will include Bridgette M. Braig, Ph.D., a trained marketing consultant, researcher and educator. Braig is a marketing strategy generalist with experience in developing brand positioning strategies and implementation plans for start-ups as well as Fortune 50 companies. She applies a consumer-insight driven approach used in all brand-building (and brand-creating) client work.
In addition to the workshop, Venture West will host the Sixth Anniversary Celebration, “Entrepreneur Feature: Stories from a Startup” with Keynote Speaker Dr. Brooks Mitchell, Serial Entrepreneur from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the University of Wyoming Foundation House at 1200 Ivinson Ave in Laramie.
The evening will include insights into the ups and downs of building a successful company. Dr. Mitchell will share stories from his success in building and selling Aspen Tree Software. The program will also feature four premier startup entrepreneurs pitching their companies to a distinguished panel of angel investors and venture capitalists during the evening program. The cost of the dinner program is $35 for members, $45 for non-members.
