Wyoming cattlemen to have a presence at the National Western Stock Show

CHEYENNE – Wyoming seedstock producers are invited to display their genetics and cattle information at this year’s 101st annual National Western Stock Show in Denver, Jan. 6-21.

Scott Keith, Livestock and Forage Program Manager for the Wyoming Business Council’s Agribusiness Division, is inviting Wyoming seedstock producers to display any ranch brochures or catalogs with information on Wyoming cattle at a Wyoming Business Council booth, which will be set up at the show. There is no cost to have ranch brochures displayed, although Keith asks for no information packets larger than standard letter-sized paper (8.5x11 inches). Ranchers are asked to send a minimum than 20 pieces of literature and no more than 50 each. The booth will not be manned throughout the week, so giveaways or other ranch merchandise in the Wyoming booth is not recommended. Booth space is reserved specifically for Wyoming cattle producers.

“This gives producers who aren’t able to go to the show an opportunity for exposure,” Keith pointed out.

This is the third year the Business Council has offered booth space at the National Western Stock Show. The booth will be located in the foyer of the livestock center. Materials need to be sent to Keith no later than Jan. 1.

“We have a great location in the livestock center, right as they come out of the livestock office,” Keith said. “There is a lot of traffic there and it is the kind of traffic we are looking for.”

For more information or to discuss display options, contact Scott Keith at 237-4696.
