Weber joins Business Council staff as Deputy Regional Director

CHEYENNE – Roy Weber has joined the staff of the Wyoming Business Council as Deputy Regional Director for Southwest Wyoming.

The regional offices are the first points of contact for the Wyoming Business Council and work with local economic development organizations, city and county entities and the Wyoming business community to help local businesses prosper as well as to help communities take advantage of state and national programs. The Business Council has six Regional Offices located in Casper, Riverton, Powell, Cheyenne, Gillette and Rock Springs.

"I am looking forward to working with the communities and the businesses in Southwestern Wyoming, to improve the business climate and way of life for the people who live and work in this region of the state,” Weber said.

Weber will be working with Southwest Regional Director Ray Sarcletti and his office will be located in Kemmerer at the Quality Plaza, 1000 Pine Avenue.

Weber is a Wheatland native and graduated from Wheatland High School in 2001. In 2006, Weber graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor degree in finance with a concurrent major in economics with an emphasis in real estate. Weber was an intern at the Business Council in the summers of 2005 and 2006 in Wheatland and Cheyenne respectively.

“We are very pleased that Roy has agreed to accept this position,” said Wyoming Business Council Director of Field Operations Steve Elledge. “He will be a great addition to Wyoming Economic Development and a great asset to the communities and businesses in southwest Wyoming.”
