Business Council offers trade show space for Wyoming food marketers
CHEYENNE – Wyoming manufacturers of food products looking to open themselves to new markets are encouraged to contact Ted Craig of the Wyoming Business Council’s Agribusiness Division about the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) trade show, which will be held in Chicago on May 6-8.
The Wyoming Business Council will have a booth at the show and offers Wyoming food manufacturers an opportunity to display their products. For a $100 fee, the WBC will take products, display them, offer samples and take leads of any interested buyers to bring back to Wyoming. The show, which is the largest in North America, promotes itself as having, “the power of five” trade shows in one. The niche shows which will be held at McCormick Place including the FMI, the Fancy Food Show, The U.S. Food Export Showcase, the United Produce Expo and the All Things Organic trade show.
Among those on the floor of the show will be buyers who represent regional and national chain supermarkets, mass merchandisers and discount club stores. The show also has an international feel with over 133 countries represented. The Wyoming Business Council also has a limited number of passes for Wyoming food manufacturers.
