Wyoming Business Council sponsors photo contest

CHEYENNE – To help promote agriculture, the Wyoming Business Council Agribusiness Division will sponsor a series of ag photo contests over the next year.

The Business Council encourages all Wyoming youth, adults, amateurs and professional photographers to submit their best Wyoming agriculture photos for cash prizes.

Judges will review the photos using two main categories: seasonal (spring, summer, fall and winter) photos and types of agriculture photos. The ag photo subcategories include: crops; agriculture recreation and activities; livestock and farm animals; and scenic agricultural.

Prizes for the contest include: $25 for each photo chosen in a given season and category; $50 for the overall photo chosen for each category at the end of the year; and $100 grand prize photo. In addition to the cash prizes, the Business Council will use the photos in their agriculture advertising campaigns and promotional materials.

The deadlines for the contests are: Spring - May 15, 2007; Summer - August 1, 2007; Fall - November 1, 2007; and Winter - February 1, 2008.

The Wyoming Business Council will announce the winners during National Agriculture Week, 2008.
