PolyPipe offers media a look around during Cole Creek opening
CHEYENNE – A grand opening ceremony at 10 a.m. on May 16 will celebrate the opening of PolyPipe, Inc., and the Cole Creek Industrial Park in Evansville.
Members of the local media as well as invited guests are encouraged to take part in the festivities, which will get kicked off with tours of the PolyPipe plant from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. A barbeque lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., with the official ribbon cutting ceremony coming at noon. Speakers during the ribbon cutting will include: Vann Cunningham assistant vice president, economic development BNSF Railway; and Evansville Mayor Phil Hinds.
PolyPipe® is one of the largest polyethylene pipe producers in North America. The manufactured product is utilized for gas gathering, crude transmission, mining, water and sewer line applications. PolyPipe, Inc. opened on schedule in December and has filled the majority of the positions it currently needs.
In June 2006, the town of Evansville received a $973,646 Business Ready Community Grant from the Wyoming Business Council, which was used to provide water, sewer, road infrastructure and rail spurs to the Cole Creek Industrial Park. The Cole Creek Industrial Park is a 72 acre parcel identified in the 2005 Evansville Community Development Plan as an industrial area. The project was accomplished in partnership with Granite Peak Development.
