Business Council offers booth space at SHOT Show
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Business Council is offering a marketing opportunity for Wyoming businesses at the 2008 SHOT (Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trades) Show Feb. 2-5 in Las Vegas.
The SHOT Show is the world’s largest marketplace for shooting sports, hunting and outdoor industries. The SHOT Show attracts over 40,000 attendees, buyers from all 50 states and more than 75 countries. These buyers represent gun shops, specialty archery stores, multi-line sporting goods stores, hardware stores, wholesale distributors, manufacturers, law enforcement and more. Manufacturers and producer exhibits number nearly 2,000 at the show, displaying anything that can be used for camping, shot, casted or worn in the outdoors.
Last year the Business Council hosted Z-Hat Custom Rifles/4-D Reamers; Hardkore Equipment; The Tannery and Ballard Rifle to The SHOT Show in Orland by offering shared display space.
“We picked up numerous new clients that we probably would not have picked up any other way,” said Fred Zeglin of Z-Hat Custom Rifles. “Seeing shop owners face-to-face is the single best way to sell you product. The WBC staff is great and very accommodating, attending the Shot Show with them was a positive experience and we would recommend it to any Wyoming outdoor business.”
The Wyoming Business Council reserves 600 square feet of booth space at The SHOT and invites Wyoming companies to join the Council at the Wyoming Pavilion at a reduced cost versus companies reserving their own through The SHOT Show. The Business Council divides the booths into approximately 8x10-foot spaces. A committee will review applications and select company participation based upon company history, product suitability, capacity and growth potential. Companies will be notified by Oct. 15 as to the status of their application.
Businesses interested in joining the Wyoming exhibit at the 2008 SHOT show should contact Annie Wood, Senior Marketing and Attraction specialist for the Wyoming Business Council at 307.777.2844 or by email at annie.wood@wybusiness.org. Space is limited.
The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming. For more information, please visit the Web site at www.wyomingbusiness.org.
