Big Horn Business-to-Business Directory is available

CHEYENNE – The Big Horn Business-to-Business Directory is now available online at www.bighornbasinbusiness.com for companies in the Big Horn Basin.

The directory is collaborative effort to help companies in the Big Horn Basin, which is made up of Park, Big Horn, Hot Springs and Washakie Counties, keep their business and their dollars in the local economy by offering a list of services available in the area. The directory is for companies who need services from other businesses such as construction companies, attorneys, landscaping forms or office supply stores. This year’s inaugural edition of the Big Horn Business-to-Business Directory has over 1,600 business entries.

“We want to make this the definitive directory for businesses in the region,” said Wyoming Business Council Northwest Regional Director Leah Bruscino. “We want to encourage business to do business with local business. If the local business isn’t available, then they can keep it in the region.”

The Wyoming Business Council is sponsoring the site and has partnered with Washakie Development Association, Thermopolis-Hot Springs Economic Development Company, Forward Cody, Wyo., Inc., Big Horn County Economic Development, Inc. and Powell Valley Economic Development Association on the site. The Wyoming Market Research Center at the University of Wyoming has assembled the list of businesses. The partnership has been working on the project for a little more than a year.

In addition to presenting a business directory, the economic development group would like to find out what business services are needed in the Basin and try to convince local entrepreneurs to fill that niche or recruit outside firms to expand to the area.

The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming. For more information, please visit our Web site at www.wyomingbusiness.org.
