Wyoming natural product producers sought for expo

CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Business Council’s Agribusiness Division is offering display space for Wyoming producers of organic and natural products at the Natural Products Expo West (NPEW) trade show in Anaheim, March 14-16, 2008.

NPEW features over 2,800 booths and 45,000 buyers and owners of natural foods stores, gyms, restaurants, grocery stores and gourmet shops. Companies who have attended the show in the past include: Gatorade, Kraft, General Mills and Dannon. For more information on the show, go to www.expowest.com.

The Wyoming Business Council will be one of the entities displaying at NPEW and will offer space for Wyoming product literature and/or samples in their booth. There is a $100 fee for each participant, which is a major cost savings for Wyoming producers who could otherwise pay $5,000 for their own display space through Natural Products Expo West. Firms who display in the Wyoming Business Council’s Agribusiness booth get approximately two feet of table top space apiece to display pre-packaged samples or literature.

Firms interested in exhibiting at NPEW may contact John Henn, Livestock and Meat Marketing Program Manager at 307.777.2847 or john.henn@wybusiness.org. Henn will accept applicants on a first-come-first-serve basis. Deadline to submit products or literature is Feb. 11, 2008.

The Wyoming Business Council’s Agribusiness Division works with agricultural producers to find ways to diversify their income through value-added goods, consumer-ready products and commodities to sustain ranching and farming operations, create jobs, increase competitiveness in the national and international marketplaces and stimulate industry growth.

The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming. For more information, please visit our Web site at www.wyomingbusiness.org.
