Wyoming companies participate in the International Sportsman’s Expo
in Salt Lake through Business Council assistance

CHEYENNE – Three companies joined Wyoming Business Council representative Annie Wood at the International Sportsman’s Expo (ISE) March 15-18 in Salt Lake City, UT.

ISE puts on five trade shows around the western United States each year featuring outdoor products from around the country. Exhibitors at the Salt Lake event saw nearly 150,000 consumers walk through the doors of the South Towne Center last week. Each of the five ISE’s showcase from 300 to more than 500 leading resorts and lodges, outdoor product manufacturers, boat dealers, regional and specialty retailers, guides and outfitters, national and local conservation organizations, state and federal government agencies, and nonprofit groups.

“The businesses that attended this event all had a very successful show,” said Wood. “We bring our companies to these shows to offer them more exposure and give them the opportunity to get their products to these different venues so their businesses can grow.”

The Wyoming Business Council bought a total of 300 feet of booth space for the event.
Joining Annie Wood at the ISE in Salt Lake were:

- R&B Meats of Green River, owned by Randy and Betty Garver. R&B's sausage is a semi-dry product and does not require refrigeration until after opening. The sausage has less cholesterol than traditional beef and is made into a variety of salamis and meat sticks.

- Jim Blair Engraving of Glenrock
, which is a one-man custom engraving firm. Blair engraves firearms, spending as many as 500 man hours per piece.

- The Fish Catcher of Cheyenne is run by John Aurzada. The Fish Catcher is a fishing lure dedicated to catching trout in Wyoming’s rivers and streams, but is effective all over the country.

In addition to the Wyoming Business Council and the three Wyoming companies, the Cowboy State was represented by ambassadors from the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, Wyoming Travel and Tourism, The Star Valley Chamber of Commerce, Sweetwater County, Sublette County, Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce.
