Megan Overmann Goetz
Megan Overmann Goetz, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, moved to Laramie, Wyo., to attend law school and never left. She graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2002 and was admitted to the Wyoming State Bar, Colorado State Bar and district courts that same year.
Goetz has worked for the state of Washington Attorney General’s Office, served as a clerk for the Honorables Jeffrey A. Donnell and Kenneth E. Stebner (retired), and in 2003 began her tenure with Pence and MacMillan, LLC, as an associate attorney. In 2007, she became a member/partner at that firm. Her law practice initiated and focused in the areas of criminal defense and domestic relations and is now primarily transaction dominated with a focus on banking, corporate and contractual matters in Wyoming and Colorado.
Goetz is heavily involved in her community and the state, serving from 2005 to present as the director of the Laramie Economic Development Corporation (LEDC); as an appointee of the Wyoming Supreme Court to the Wyoming State Bar Unauthorized Practice of Law committee, as well as the Wyoming State Bar Board of Examiners. She has served as director of the board for the Rotary Club of Laramie, is a Leadership Laramie and Leadership Wyoming graduate, and has received the LEDC member of the year award.
